TayChem’s products are used in virtually all major industries. Our silicone emulsion and fluid line of products are used in multiple applications, and our Foam Destroyer™ antifoams/defoamers are used in a variety of applications.

This market includes products for utilization in car polishes, car waxes, tire dressings, vinyl protectants, etc. Some of the TaySheen products are not restricted to the aforementioned applications, but can also be suitable for use in mold release agents, textile softeners, and curable silicone coatings.

TayChem has a variety of product offerings for the Rendering Industry. This application includes processing of salvageable chicken and beef parts for use in dog and cat food. The rendering process involves the use of large, 5,000- to 10,000- gallon pressure cooker type equipment with large augers. The renderer grinds and refines the product. During this process, foam develops and reduces the capacity of the “kettle” which interferes with production yields. Defoamers for this application come in both aqueous (water-formed) and non-aqueous (100%) type products. Recommendations on individual needs will be made upon request.

Dye and carpet requires auxiliary products that form foam. Air entrapment and surface foam causes carpet flotation and uneven dyeing spillovers. Entrained air reduces dye flow through cloth during textile pressure dyeing. Our product offerings act as an antifoam to prevent foam formation or as a defoamer to kill foam after formation. High-speed, jet-dyeing equipment requires the use of defoamers to prevent manufacturer malfunctions.
